Most Americans are planning trips to warm-weather destinations such as Orlando, which again held onto the number one city for summer vacations. Honolulu and Maui, Hawaii, are more popular as they moved up to second and sixth place in popularity.
AAA projects two-thirds of travelers staying in the U.S. this summer plan drive and take a family road trip. The top 10 most popular cities for vacations this summer are:

More than one-third of families who are planning a trip will travel overseas. Rome has jumped to the number one place in popularity for international destinations.
